Pathfinder Resources Ltd ( (AU:BM8) ) has shared an announcement.
Battery Age Minerals has been admitted to the U.S. Defense Industrial Base Consortium, giving it a direct channel to participate in U.S. Department of War–sponsored critical minerals programs and defence supply chain initiatives. The consortium operates under flexible contracting rules that can enable non-dilutive funding, grants and accelerated contracting for qualifying projects.
The move aligns Battery Age’s germanium-focused exploration and technology portfolio with U.S. and EU efforts to secure supplies of this critical mineral, which is dominated by Chinese refining and currently lacks primary U.S. production. By leveraging its high-grade historic Bleiberg project in Austria, its Apex project in Utah and ongoing germanium enrichment technology work, the company aims to position itself as an end-to-end supplier into defence, semiconductor, satellite and fibre-optic markets amid rising geopolitical supply risks.
