Base Carbon Inc. has reached a significant achievement by acquiring 717,558 of the world’s first Article 6 Authorized carbon credits from its Rwanda cookstoves project. This milestone not only advances the project into active carbon credit production but also sets a precedent in the industry, with the potential to attract more buyers and possibly command higher prices. The company is now implementing an agreement that includes financial contributions to the United Nations’ global adaptation fund from the revenue of the carbon credits sold.
