Kopore Metals Ltd ( (AU:BRY) ) has provided an update.
Barys Resources has secured its first exploration licence in Kazakhstan, covering 165 square kilometres in the North Balkhash region, a volcanic and intrusive rock terrain considered highly prospective for epithermal gold mineralisation. The licence area lies close to existing gold mines in a jurisdiction with a mining code modelled on Western Australia and a government supportive of foreign investment.
The company’s move into Kazakhstan follows a six-month, countrywide reconnaissance program that drew on extensive Soviet-era geological data and modern modelling and geophysical tools to select targets. Management says its experienced technical team and the region’s favourable geology, infrastructure and flat topography position Barys to pursue cost-effective exploration and potential future gold discoveries in a globally significant yet underexplored gold province.
