Barclays PLC has recently bought back and intends to cancel 3.9 million of its own shares, as part of a share buy-back program that started on August 5, 2024. The shares were acquired through the London Stock Exchange at varying prices, with the company’s total buy-back reaching nearly 120 million shares at an average price. Following the cancellation, Barclays’ issued share capital will be reduced to over 14.6 billion shares with voting rights.
