Barclays PLC Executes Major Share Buy-Back

Barclays (GB:BARC) has released an update.

Barclays PLC has bought back and intends to cancel 3.77 million of its ordinary shares as part of its repurchase plan, with the transaction happening on the London Stock Exchange through Citigroup Global Markets Limited. The range of prices paid per share was 222.45p to 230.55p, averaging at 228.18p. Since the start of its buy-back program, Barclays has acquired nearly 93 million shares, affecting the number of shares with voting rights now standing at 14.63 billion.
