Barclays Enhances Value with Share Buy-Back

Barclays (GB:BARC) has released an update.

Barclays PLC has repurchased over 1.8 million of its own shares from Citigroup Global Markets Limited, a move that is part of its ongoing buy-back program initiated in August 2024. The shares were bought back at prices ranging between 257.15p and 260.40p, with the intention of canceling them. This buy-back reduces Barclays’ overall share count, potentially enhancing shareholder value by increasing earnings per share.
