Barclays Confirms Share Buyback and Cancellation

Barclays (GB:BARC) has released an update.

Barclays PLC has recently bought back 3,761,842 of its own shares for cancellation, as previously announced on August 5, 2024. This move is part of a larger share repurchase program, which has seen Barclays acquire over 81 million shares on the London Stock Exchange at an average price of 221.6384p each. Following the cancellation, Barclays’ total issued share capital will be reduced to 14,640,131,716 ordinary shares with voting rights.
