Barclays PLC has recently bought back and plans to cancel 5,666,940 of its ordinary shares, as part of an ongoing buy-back program announced earlier, impacting the total issued share capital which will stand at 14,618,460,273 shares. This move is part of a larger repurchase strategy, where over 104 million shares have been bought at an average price of 222.16p since the announcement of the program.
