Barclays Advances Share Buy-Back Program

Barclays (GB:BARC) has released an update.

Barclays PLC has recently bought back and plans to cancel over 2 million of its own shares, with the buy-back occurring at varying share prices, reflecting a strategic move to potentially boost the value of remaining shares. This action is part of a larger buy-back program initiated in August, with Barclays having repurchased nearly 95 million shares to date. Post-cancellation, Barclays’ total issued share capital will adjust to over 14 billion shares, excluding any held in Treasury.
