The latest announcement is out from Banco Santander ( (ES:SAN) ).

Banco Santander has reported an issued share capital of 14,689,319,502 ordinary shares with a nominal value of EUR 0.50 each as of 27 February 2026. Of these, 167,919,921 shares are held in treasury, meaning they do not carry voting rights.

After accounting for treasury holdings, the bank’s total number of voting rights stands at 14,521,399,581. This figure will serve as the reference denominator for shareholders assessing whether they must disclose holdings or changes under the FCA’s transparency rules, clarifying Santander’s current capital and governance base for the market.
