Banco Santander has reported that, as of 31 December 2025, its issued share capital stood at 14,689,319,502 ordinary shares with a nominal value of EUR 0.50 each, of which 17,716,768 shares were held in treasury without voting rights. After accounting for treasury stock, the total number of voting rights in the bank amounts to 14,671,602,734, a figure that shareholders are expected to use as the reference denominator when assessing whether they must disclose holdings or changes in their stakes under the UK Financial Conduct Authority’s transparency rules, reinforcing regulatory clarity and disclosure obligations for investors in the stock.
