BacTech Environmental Corporation has secured a deal to transfer a 10% interest in a ‘zero-waste’ patent for processing pyrrhotite and pyrite tailings to an investor group for C$100,000. This technology aims to transform mining waste into valuable products, such as iron for steel or battery production and ammonium sulphate fertilizer, while also addressing environmental liabilities. The funding will contribute to the development of a demonstration plant and the completion of the patent process.
