B.P. Marsh & Partners has received the final £9.5m tranche of deferred consideration from the sale of its stake in Paladin Holdings, taking total proceeds from the disposal to £62.7m and delivering an internal rate of return of 48.7% on an initial outlay of £3.5k in equity and £5.9m in loan funding. The group plans to return £2.0m of these proceeds to shareholders as a special dividend in the 2028 financial year, while emphasising its disciplined capital allocation and commitment to balancing shareholder distributions with funding for future investments.
Including the proposed special dividend, B.P. Marsh expects aggregate dividends of £28.0m across the 2026–2028 financial years, equivalent to around 8% of its £349.5m net asset value as at 31 July 2025. The company reiterated that dividend decisions will continue to be weighed against reinvestment opportunities and potential share buy-backs, underlining a strategy of delivering sustainable and progressive returns without constraining portfolio growth.
