Azul SA (AZUL) has released an update.
Azul S.A. reported a solid EBITDA of R$1.1 billion in the second quarter of 2024 despite a slight dip in operating revenue due to the Rio Grande do Sul floods and a temporary dip in international capacity. The Brazilian airline, known for its extensive domestic network, also saw its operational efficiency improve with a 1.8% reduction in CASK, and it continued to strengthen its liquidity position, ending the quarter with R$2.5 billion in immediate liquidity. Despite currency fluctuations and environmental challenges, Azul’s strategic initiatives and fleet optimization point to an optimistic outlook for the rest of the year.
