Axis Bank has disclosed that the Employees Provident Fund Organization has issued orders imposing damages of Rs 91.5 lakh and interest of about Rs 47.3 lakh for delayed remittance of provident fund and related dues between April 1, 2022 and June 13, 2024. The bank, which has already responded with requisite information, stated that the assessed amounts are not expected to have any material impact on its financial position, operations, or broader business activities, suggesting limited implications for shareholders and other stakeholders.
