Avira Resources Ltd ( (AU:AVW) ) just unveiled an announcement.
Avira Resources has secured key regulatory, environmental and heritage approvals needed to begin on-ground exploration at its high-grade Mt Cattlin Gold Project in Western Australia, clearing a 4,500-metre reverse circulation drilling program across the Sirdar, Maori Queen, Ellendale and Plantagenet prospects. Environmental conditions set by biodiversity authorities have been met, a heritage survey with the Wagyl Kaip Southern Noongar Aboriginal Corporation found no significant sites, and management says the approvals firmly underpin a maiden drilling campaign that leverages strong historical grades and a supportive gold price backdrop for shareholders.
The Mt Cattlin project sits about 4 km north of Ravensthorpe in the Yilgarn Craton and is characterised by sheared mafic and felsic metavolcanics intruded by a large porphyry complex, believed to control gold mineralisation. Historical production of 23,006 tonnes at 24.56 g/t gold from the Maori Queen and Sirdar deposits underscores the project’s high-grade credentials, and the planned program aims to test both narrow high-grade lodes and broader porphyry-related stockwork zones, potentially enhancing Avira’s position in the regional gold exploration landscape.
