Vital Battery Metals, Inc. ( (TSE:AVE) ) has issued an announcement.

Aventis Energy has begun a winter drill program at its Corvo Uranium Project in northeastern Saskatchewan, launching the first drilling on the property in more than 40 years. The fully funded campaign will test shallow, high-priority basement-hosted uranium targets, with 2,500 to 3,000 metres of diamond drilling planned over five to six weeks across eight to ten holes, starting at the Manhattan target area.

Drill targets were selected using recent geophysical surveys, ground gravity data, and prospecting that confirmed strong surface radioactivity and favourable host rocks, with Standard Uranium acting as operator. The program aims to advance understanding of Corvo’s untapped uranium potential along key electromagnetic corridors, potentially strengthening Aventis’s position in the Athabasca Basin exploration arena if significant mineralization is confirmed.
