An announcement from Valorem Resources ( (TSE:AGC) ) is now available.
Avanti Gold Corp. is ramping up its exploration efforts at the Misisi Gold Project in the DRC, mobilizing four drill rigs from Tanzania after signing a drilling services contract with Simba DRC Mining Services and appointing Minecon Resources and Services as drill program manager. The company has also strengthened its in-country team with key hires in exploration, security, health and safety, and logistics, underscoring its commitment to operational readiness in the region.
The 2026 exploration program will comprise about 42,000 meters of drilling in two phases, with Phase 1 focused on resource extensions at the flagship Akyanga deposit and delineation at Akyanga East, and Phase 2 adding in-fill drilling at Akyanga plus first-pass drilling at high-priority targets including Ngalula, Lubitchako, Tulonge, and Kilombwe. Assay results from 2,100 meters of historic core at Akyanga are expected shortly, and the expanded drill campaign is aimed at growing and upgrading the project’s resource base, potentially enhancing Avanti’s position in the regional gold sector.
