Australian Rare Earths Limited ( (AU:AR3) ) just unveiled an announcement.
Australian Rare Earths has prepared about 30 tonnes of ore from its Koppamurra project for shipment to ANSTO’s new pilot-scale rare earth processing facility in Sydney. As the first industry user of this plant, AR3 expects to shorten development timelines and cut capital costs and execution risks.
Pilot operations are scheduled to start by late Q2 2026, generating mixed rare earth oxide for offtake discussions, product qualification and strategic partner engagement. The program will provide scale‑up and engineering data to de‑risk the flowsheet, support feasibility work and underpin a mining lease application, making 2026 a pivotal year in moving Koppamurra toward commercialisation within a supportive demand and policy backdrop.
