Australian Pacific Coal Limited has reignited operations at its Dartbrook Mine, producing coal for the first time since 2006, following the successful installation and testing of a new 4 km conveyor system. The mine is now in a commissioning phase, with a focus on producing unwashed thermal coal initially, and plans to offer high-quality washed coal for export following the completion of a Coal Handling and Preparation Plant refurbishment next year. The company’s leadership expresses optimism for Dartbrook’s potential as a major player in the coal market amid a pause in new coal mine sanctions.
