Austal Limited announces the retirement of its inaugural chairman, John Rothwell, who will continue to serve as a non-executive director after 37 years at the helm. Former US Secretary of the Navy, Richard Spencer, is set to take over as Chairman, bringing with him a wealth of experience from both the defence sector and investment banking. Austal, an international defence prime contractor with a strong orderbook and over 4,000 employees, is poised for its next growth phase under Spencer’s leadership.
