Aurion Resources Ltd. has announced a private placement of shares for Kinross Gold Corporation, allowing Kinross to retain its 9.98% ownership in Aurion. The proceeds from this and an upsized brokered offering will fund exploration projects in Finland, along with general corporate needs. Final share amounts will depend on the completion of the brokered offering and whether an additional agents’ option is exercised.
