Augustus Minerals Limited ( (AU:AUG) ) has provided an announcement.
Augustus Minerals reported quarterly progress across its portfolio, highlighted by completion of reverse circulation drilling at the Clifton East prospect within the Music Well Gold Project north of Leonora. Eleven holes totaling 1,100 metres tested a substantial gold-in-soil anomaly, with assay results due shortly and further soil geochemistry and drilling planned at nearby Black Cat East, Teutonic East and St Patrick’s Well prospects.
In Papua New Guinea, the company advanced permitting and stakeholder engagement for its Mt Kare and Vanapa River projects, maintaining its position as the only ASX-listed participant in the Mt Kare licence application. The Vanapa River application, covering about 1,900 square kilometres in the New Guinea Mobile Belt near existing gold and copper deposits, underpins Augustus’s strategy to build a pipeline of exploration opportunities that could enhance its long-term growth and regional presence if licences are granted.
