Auckland International Airport ( (ACKDF) ) has provided an announcement.
In July 2025, Auckland International Airport experienced a 3% decrease in international passenger movements compared to the previous year, partly due to the earlier timing of New Zealand school holidays. While passenger movements for New Zealand nationals declined by 2%, there was a 3% increase during the school holiday weeks. Australian nationals’ movements increased by 5%, whereas Chinese nationals saw a 13% decrease due to last year’s World Choir Games. Domestic passenger movements rose by 1%, with a 3% increase in seat capacity, leading to a slight decline in load factors. Queenstown Airport set a new record for international passenger numbers, with a 10% increase compared to the previous year, marking an all-time high.
