Atomos ( (AU:AMS) ) has issued an update.
Atomos has strengthened its position in professional video production by completing the acquisition of U.S.-based Flanders Scientific, a well-regarded maker of highly calibrated reference monitors known for colour science and display expertise. The deal, involving cash and new Atomos shares, is expected to add about $1 million in annual EBITDA post-synergies and broadens Atomos’s ecosystem into later stages of the production chain.
To fund the purchase and support broader growth, Atomos drew on a new A$10 million finance facility from Commonwealth Bank of Australia, with remaining proceeds earmarked for product development, higher inventory levels, and working capital for both Atomos and Flanders Scientific. The company also amended an existing Monreii facility to cut its funding cost from 20% to 13% per annum, delivering material interest savings and underpinning its strategy to serve higher-end professional production and post-production markets more effectively.
