The latest announcement is out from Tombador Iron Ltd. ( (AU:AEU) ).
Atomic Eagle has launched a 30,000-metre drilling program at its 100%-owned Muntanga Uranium Project in Zambia, targeting three priority areas: infill drilling at Chisebuka and maiden campaigns at Namakande and Muntanga North. The effort follows a recent 24% upgrade to the project’s mineral resource to 58.8 million pounds of U3O8 and is designed to further increase uranium inventory and identify additional near-surface mineralisation suitable for open-pit mining.
Multiple drill rigs and geophysical crews are already operating on site, reflecting a significant scaling-up of field activity at Muntanga. The company, which is fully funded for its 2026 and 2027 exploration programs, expects the expanded campaign to support its strategy of underpinning a substantially larger mining operation than previously contemplated, potentially enhancing its long-term production profile and strengthening its position in the uranium sector.
