Atlas Copco AB ( ($SE:ATCO.A) ) has shared an update.
Atlas Copco Group is expanding its vacuum technology portfolio with the acquisition of LACO Technologies, a U.S.-based designer and manufacturer of complete vacuum solutions, vacuum chambers and advanced leak detection systems for aerospace, R&D and industrial customers. The Salt Lake City firm, founded in 1975 and employing 110 people, reported 2025 revenue of about USD 25 million and will be integrated into the Scientific Vacuum division within Atlas Copco’s Vacuum Technique business area.
The deal, for an undisclosed purchase price, will add a U.S. manufacturing base for turnkey leak detection and vacuum systems, strengthening Atlas Copco’s expertise and footprint in a strategically important segment. Subject to regulatory approval, the transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of 2026, enhancing Atlas Copco’s presence in the North American vacuum and leak testing market and potentially deepening relationships with aerospace and high-tech industrial customers.
