Astra Exploration Inc ( (TSE:ASTR) ) has provided an announcement.
Astra Exploration reported a significant new discovery at its La Manchuria gold and silver project in Argentina, highlighted by a 6.3-metre intercept grading 837 g/t silver and 3.32 g/t gold in the Basalto Zone, including metre-scale intervals exceeding 1,000 g/t silver. The results show multiple mineralized zones across seven new drill holes, with high-grade mineralization near surface in a previously underexplored parallel vein system that materially expands the known vein field.
Management noted that structural data suggests the West, Central and East feeder zones within the Main Zone may converge at depth, reinforcing the potential for high-grade feeder systems that underpin the larger bulk disseminated resource. With assays still pending for 12 holes and funding in place for a further 5,000 metres of drilling supported by new geophysical surveys, Astra is poised to continue expanding the project’s footprint and refine targets that could enhance the project’s economic profile.
