An update from Astra Exploration Inc ( (TSE:ASTR) ) is now available.
Astra Exploration reported a third batch of Phase II drill results from its La Manchuria gold and silver project in Argentina, highlighted by a 0.5-metre intercept grading 2,371 g/t silver and 11.09 g/t gold in the East Feeder of the Main Zone, along with multiple high-grade hits in the West Feeder. The assays extend key high-grade veins along strike in both the East and West Feeders, confirm a continuous, shallowly hosted mineralized vein in the Eastern Zone, and show that previously considered barren andesitic sills can host high-grade mineralization, while the company remains funded to launch at least a further 5,000 metres of drilling aimed at expanding the system and refining high-potential feeder targets.
The Phase II program, which completed 25 holes totaling 5,119 metres in late 2025, was designed to grow the near-surface footprint of the Main, Eastern and Basalto zones with shallow drilling. With high-grade structures remaining open in all directions and geophysical surveys underway to extend the 3D resistivity model and define new targets under cover, the results reinforce La Manchuria’s potential scale and continuity and may enhance Astra’s exploration upside and strategic standing in the Santa Cruz precious metals district.
