Ascential PLC has announced an update on its acquisition by Informa PLC, following shareholder approval and regulatory clearances. The acquisition, to be conducted via a scheme of arrangement, is progressing towards a court sanction hearing scheduled for October 8, 2024. However, Ascential has indicated that the sale of Hudson MX is unlikely to yield proceeds that would allow for a distribution to shareholders under the scheme’s terms.
