Ascendant Resources Inc. has announced the appointment of McGovern Hurley LLP as its new auditor, succeeding KPMG LLP. The Toronto-based mining company specializes in the Lagoa Salgada VMS project in Portugal, which is rich in a variety of metals and demonstrates significant exploration and development potential. Ascendant holds an 80% interest in the project, which is near Lisbon and benefits from existing infrastructure and demonstrated economic viability.
