Asante Gold ( (TSE:ASE) ) has shared an announcement.
Asante Gold has appointed veteran mining executive Campbell Baird as Chief Operating Officer, reinforcing its operational leadership as the Bibiani and Chirano mines ramp up toward planned production levels. Baird, who brings more than three decades of international technical and operational experience, is tasked with driving execution, efficiency and operational excellence across the company’s Ghanaian assets.
The company has also engaged lawyers Michele Muscillo and mining financier Kevin Tomlinson as advisors, bolstering governance, risk management and strategic and technical support as it pursues its next phase of growth. In parallel, Asante disclosed that President and CEO Dave Anthony, who oversaw the company’s evolution into a significant gold producer and the raising of over US$500 million in development capital, will retire and step down from the board in May 2026, marking a managed leadership transition for stakeholders.

Spark’s Take on TSE:ASE Stock
According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, TSE:ASE is a Neutral.
The score is weighed down primarily by very weak TTM profitability, sharply higher leverage, and a swing to negative operating/free cash flow, which together raise sustainability and financing risk. Technicals also show a weak price trend and bearish momentum, though oversold indicators suggest a potential near-term bounce. Valuation is not supportive given the negative P/E and lack of dividend yield data.
