Asante Gold Begins Mining at New Ghana Gold Pit

Story Highlights

Asante Gold (TSE:ASE) has released an update.

Asante Gold Corporation has commenced mining at the Russel Starter Pit of the Bibiani Gold Mine in Ghana following the acquisition of all necessary permits, marking a significant progression towards their goal of producing over 500,000 ounces of gold by 2028. The Russel deposit, with its 119,000 ounces of gold, is anticipated to contribute to the Bibiani-Chirano area becoming the seventh largest gold producing district in Africa. Local support and timely permit issuance have been vital in this achievement, with operations expected to reach full capacity by the end of October 2024.
