Artemis Resources strengthens board with high-profile gold sector appointments

Artemis Resources has overhauled its board, appointing former De Grey Mining chairman Simon Lill as non-executive chairman and experienced geologist Dr Matthew Greentree as executive director, while current executive director Jozsef Patarica will depart at the end of March 2026. The company says the new leadership team materially strengthens its corporate and technical capabilities as it accelerates exploration across the Titan and Carlow gold systems in the Pilbara and seeks to translate disciplined capital allocation and geological precision into resource growth and enhanced shareholder returns.

Lill brings more than three decades of capital markets and resources leadership, having overseen the discovery of the 11.2-million-ounce Hemi gold deposit and De Grey’s transformation into a multibillion-dollar ASX 200 takeover target. Greentree, the former Ausgold chief executive, adds deep expertise in structurally controlled gold systems and a track record of building resources and market value, which Artemis aims to leverage in refining its geological models, targeting high-impact drilling, and scaling its Pilbara gold portfolio.
