Arrow Exploration Corp ( (TSE:AXL) ) has shared an announcement.
Arrow Exploration Corp. has successfully drilled and brought onstream its Mateguafa 8 appraisal well on the Tapir Block in Colombia’s Llanos Basin, confirming the productivity of the C9 formation at the northern extent of the Mateguafa Attic discovery. Although initial tests in the C7 sands proved uneconomic, the M-8 well is now producing about 230 barrels of oil per day gross from a 30-foot C9 pay zone, with additional untested Gacheta pay offering future upside, contributing to total corporate output of roughly 4,625 boe/d and reinforcing Mateguafa as a core growth area. The company continues to advance a multi-well development program at Mateguafa, with the horizontal M-HZ9 well underway and plans for the M-10 and M-11 wells, followed by an exploration campaign from the Icaco pad and further development drilling across other pads. With US$11.5 million in cash, no debt, and ongoing discussions to secure a Tapir block extension, Arrow is positioning itself for continued production growth and potential reserve additions while maintaining financial flexibility and responding to oil market conditions.
