Ardea Resources Limited has announced a significant joint venture with Sumitomo Metal Mining and Mitsubishi Corporation to develop the Kalgoorlie Nickel Project – Goongarrie Hub. The partnership represents a critical step in advancing the nickel-cobalt project, with the consortium agreeing to fund the Definitive Feasibility Study and support the project’s progress into production, expected to be one of Australia’s largest nickel-cobalt producers. The collaboration emphasizes the project’s adherence to high ESG standards and contributes to the strengthening relationship between Australia and Japan in the global energy transition.
