Arctic Paper S.A. has disclosed that its 2024 Sustainability Report contained an error in the data on wastewater discharges at its Arctic Paper Kostrzyn mill, caused by an incorrect Excel formula reference. The company reported sludge volumes instead of treated wastewater discharged to a river, understating total wastewater outflow.
Following the correction, total wastewater discharge for the 2024 financial year increased from about 20.4 million m³ to approximately 23.1 million m³, a change of roughly 2.7 million m³ or 12%. The revision underscores the importance of data integrity in the company’s environmental reporting, which is closely watched by regulators, investors, and other stakeholders monitoring its sustainability performance.
