The latest announcement is out from ANZ Group Holdings ( (AU:ANZ) ).

Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited will redeem its US$1 billion 6.750% fixed rate resetting perpetual subordinated contingent convertible securities, issued through its London Branch, on 15 June 2026 after receiving approval from the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority. The notes will be repaid at 100% of principal plus accrued interest, and ANZ emphasised that this action does not signal an intention to call other outstanding capital instruments, which would also require separate regulatory approval and could affect how investors assess the bank’s future capital management plans.

Holders of the securities will receive accrued but unpaid interest up to, but excluding, the redemption date, provided payment conditions are satisfied and no discretion is exercised to cancel interest. From the redemption date, interest will cease to accrue and investors’ remaining rights will be limited to receiving the redemption amount and any due interest, clarifying the timetable and terms of exit for stakeholders in this specific contingent convertible instrument.
