AMG Advanced Metallurgical Group NV has inaugurated Europe’s first lithium hydroxide refinery in Germany, with an initial production capacity of 20,000 tons per year, sufficient for 500,000 EV batteries. The company plans to expand production to 100,000 tons by 2030, aiming at a 14% market share in Europe’s lithium market.
