American Express ( (AXP) ) has issued an update.

American Express reported credit metrics for its U.S. consumer and U.S. small business card member loans held for investment for the months ended December 31, 2025, January 31, 2026, and February 28, 2026, showing largely stable delinquency and net write-off rates despite a modest decline in total loan balances. U.S. consumer loans totaled $95.1 billion at February 28, 2026, with 30-day delinquencies at 1.4% and a net write-off rate of 2.0%, while U.S. small business loans stood at $31.3 billion with 1.7% 30-day delinquencies and a 2.8% net write-off rate, and the company also disclosed credit performance for its American Express Credit Account Master Trust, noting that differences in portfolio mix and calculation methods can cause its reported defaults and delinquencies to differ from those of the overall loan book and may introduce month-to-month variability relevant for investors tracking asset quality trends.
