American Eagle Gold ( (TSE:AE) ) just unveiled an update.
American Eagle Gold plans a materially expanded, year-round exploration program at its NAK copper-gold porphyry project near Smithers, B.C., starting in April 2026. Backed by more than $55 million in pro forma cash and support from cornerstone investors South32, Teck Resources, Eric Sprott and Ore Group, the company aims to execute over 50,000 metres of drilling using up to four rigs.
The 2026–2027 campaign will target step-out drilling to grow the known 1.5 by 1.7-kilometre mineralized footprint and deepen understanding of the system, which remains open at depth beyond 800 metres. A significant portion of the work will focus on defining high‑grade zones and conducting metallurgical drilling to support an initial mineral resource model and a preliminary economic assessment planned to begin in 2027, signalling a transition from pure exploration toward early project evaluation.
The most recent analyst rating on (TSE:AE) stock is a Hold with a C$0.85 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on American Eagle Gold stock, see the TSE:AE Stock Forecast page.
Spark’s Take on AE Stock
According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, AE is a Neutral.
The score is constrained primarily by weak financial performance typical of a pre-revenue explorer (no revenue, rising losses, and significant negative operating/free cash flow), implying continued reliance on financing. This is partly offset by a low-debt balance sheet and stronger equity capitalization, while technicals are currently strong but show overbought risk. Valuation provides limited support due to negative earnings and no dividend yield.
