Alpha HPA Limited ( (AU:A4N) ) has shared an update.
Alpha HPA reported strong progress on Stage 2 of its HPA First project in Gladstone, where civil works, major solvent extraction modules, bulk reagent tanks and pipe racks are advancing toward what is planned to be the world’s largest single-site high purity aluminium materials facility. Stage 1 remains in continuous operation at full capacity, with initial process changes implemented to lift throughput and support growing sales and product qualification programs.
The company is seeing accelerated adoption of its high purity alumina materials in semiconductor-related applications tied to surging AI capital expenditure, including thermal fillers, alumina ceramics and CMP polishing for high bandwidth memory and power devices. Premium Japanese semiconductor customers have increased demand under letters of intent, new low-alpha alumina qualifications have been secured, sapphire sales and wafer orders are expanding for optics and GaN-on-sapphire semiconductors, and Alpha has bolstered its balance sheet with a $225 million capital raising, including a $75 million cornerstone investment from Australia’s National Reconstruction Fund Corporation, to fund project delivery and expansion.
