Aldoro Resources Ltd. ( (AU:ARN) ) has shared an update.
Aldoro Resources has reported exceptional metallurgical test results from its Kameelburg project in Namibia, where initial bench-scale work achieved 98.96% strontium extraction and 93.82% calcium extraction using a simple hydrochloric acid leach at ambient temperature. The mineralisation, with a head grade of 2.67% strontium (4.49% strontium carbonate), positions Kameelburg as a high-grade ancylite-bearing carbonatite system with potential for both strontium and rare earth elements.
The company notes that the strontium extraction rate ranks among the highest reported globally under comparable conditions, and coincides with a surge of around 150% in strontium carbonate prices amid supply disruptions. On the back of these results, Aldoro has accelerated work on an updated mineral resource estimate to incorporate strontium carbonate and iron content from Phase 1 drilling, aiming to better capture the project’s strontium value and enhance its standing in the critical minerals sector.
