The Albion VCTs, a group of venture capital trusts, have announced preliminary discussions on potential mergers aimed at streamlining operations and achieving cost savings. While the talks may not necessarily result in an agreement, if approved by shareholders, the mergers would be carried out under the Insolvency Act 1986. Shareholders would receive shares of the acquiring VCTs based on relative net asset values, promising administrative efficiencies and simplified structure for the involved parties.
