Air New Zealand ( (ANZFF) ) has shared an announcement.

Air New Zealand has reshaped its executive operations leadership, appointing Kate Boyer as Chief Operations Officer, Ground and Inflight, effective 30 March 2026, following the retirement of current COO Alex Marren at the end of March. Boyer, who joined the airline in 2022 and has recently led a turnaround in domestic airport operations as General Manager of Airports, will oversee ground and inflight performance, reflecting the board’s confidence in her track record in operational improvement, customer service and safety. At the same time, Mike Williams, currently Chief Transformation and Alliances Officer, will move into a newly created role of Chief Operations Officer, Technical Operations, taking responsibility for engineering, maintenance and supply chain while continuing to lead alliances. The split of operational responsibilities into ground/inflight and technical operations is designed to sharpen focus on reliability, safety and strategic execution, signalling Air New Zealand’s intent to strengthen its operational backbone and customer delivery as it pursues its broader strategic priorities.
