Air New Zealand Faces Capacity and Revenue Dip

Air New Zealand Limited (ANZFF) has released an update.

Air New Zealand has experienced a decrease in capacity across all flight segments in August 2024, with a 7.0% reduction compared to the previous year due to limited aircraft availability. Revenue metrics also saw a decline, with a 2.2% drop in year-to-date underlying revenue per available seat kilometer (RASK), influenced by lower domestic demand and intense competition on North American routes. Despite these challenges, the passenger load factor slightly increased, indicating a more efficient utilization of the available seating capacity.
