Air New Zealand has announced the acquisition of 914,008 ordinary shares as part of its share buy-back program. This includes 447,793 shares acquired on the NZX and ASX and 466,215 shares acquired off-market from the New Zealand government. The shares will be cancelled, reducing the total number of shares outstanding, which may positively impact shareholder value by increasing earnings per share.
