ACSL Ltd. said it will book notable non-operating items and an extraordinary loss in the fourth quarter of its fiscal year ending December 31, 2025, including foreign exchange gains of ¥38.2 million that lift full-year forex profit to ¥5.3 million. Management said the gain stems mainly from the revaluation of foreign currency liabilities as exchange rates moved during the period.
The company also recorded a ¥225.0 million share of loss from equity-method affiliate ACSL India, bringing the full-year equity-method loss to ¥234.7 million after reviewing the recoverability of loans to the unit. In addition, ACSL recognized a ¥31.2 million extraordinary loss on investment securities after concluding that current earnings capacity at an investee had fallen significantly versus its original business plan, with overall performance impacts detailed in its full-year financial results released the same day.
