Volvo AB ( ($SE:VOLV.A) ) just unveiled an update.

AB Volvo has adjusted its share capital structure following the conversion of 800,000 Series A shares into 800,000 Series B shares, an option available to Series A holders since its inclusion in the Articles of Association in 2011. As of 30 April 2026, the company has 2,033,452,084 registered shares outstanding, comprising 440,743,462 Series A shares and 1,592,708,622 Series B shares, corresponding to a total of 600,014,324.20 votes.

The change marginally shifts the balance between higher-voting Series A and lower-voting Series B stock, slightly reducing the concentration of voting power typically associated with Series A shares while keeping the overall number of shares unchanged. This kind of share conversion can influence shareholder influence and governance dynamics over time, but it does not directly affect the company’s operations or its strategic focus in the transport and infrastructure markets.
