1844 Resources Inc ( (TSE:EFF) ) has issued an announcement.
1844 Resources has secured drilling permits and reactivated its renamed flagship SV2 copper project in Québec’s Gaspé Peninsula, bringing the 130-claim, 68 km² property to a fully drill-ready status for the first time in over a decade. The project benefits from an NI 43-101 inferred resource at Sullipek, historical copper intercepts, a recent airborne geophysical survey, and proximity to Osisko Metals’ Gaspé Copper Project, while also including a 50/50 joint venture with Glencore on the adjacent Vallières property.
Management said regulatory constraints have now eased, allowing the company to finalize its 2026 work program and prepare a drill campaign for late summer or early fall, with targets being refined using historical and modern geophysical data. The company also granted 500,000 stock options to a director, underscoring its commitment to advancing SV2 as a cornerstone asset in an evolving regional copper exploration model that increasingly values scale and continuity of mineralization over grade alone.
